My husband works in the oil field and wanted me to take some pictures for his office....
It is not the prettiest subject in the world so I went out several evenings and came up with a few.
I got a beautiful sunset, hope he likes it for his office.
Thanks for visiting my part of the country,
Jana
You did very well, that gorgeous evening light is perfect with the industrial foreground.
ReplyDeleteThanks Al, I was free, so he could't complain .....much LOL
DeleteI think you did a great job, Jana. There is something almost ethereal about the machinery silhouetted against the beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteI saw a series of programmes about the US oil fields some time ago; that is very tough work your husband does. No wonder he makes barn building look so easy!!
HI Tracey, the silhouette of the machinery helped hide the rust, weeds, oil. I was amazing how the black against the sunset changed everything. Also my husband use to do more "field" work, but now he works more in an office with air conditioning. I sometimes think he misses working outside, so he gets a chance when he gets home....example: loft building. LOL
Deletei think they're beautiful! and very oklahoma.
ReplyDeleteThanks and yes it is All Oklahoma for sure.
DeleteHe should be pleased with both. I love the last one.
ReplyDeleteThat was Randy's favorite as well.
DeleteThey're both gorgeous - the second one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks and the second one seems to be the winner.
DeleteJana, you should really be thinking of going professional. Seriously .....you have "the eye".

DeleteI initially thought of Louisiana when I saw this. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and comments, you must have oil field there as well, it does help with the bills LOL
DeleteThese are great shots...well done. Praying for rain for you too...the earth smells different today, things are starting to look greener already!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures...
