I took these pictures a few months ago.....this was when we still knew what clouds were. LOL
I'm not a meteorologist but I was always taught that the sun rises in the east, so then why when I looked out the window to the "WEST" this morning did I see the sun shining in the clouds?

You can tell from the photo how dark it still is out.
I had to grab my camera ASAP and snap a couple of shots to show you all that the sun now can rise in the West.....

'trick' photography. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I like that, never looked at it that way.
DeleteI've seen and photographed the same event before. The sun is still below the horizon and the the clouds are high enough to capture the sun's rays.
ReplyDeleteI knew that it had to be that, it really looks pretty to have the cloud lit up in the middle of all the darkness, thanks for letting me know I was not crazy. LOL
Deletethis place looks incredible.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteVery pretty, and Andy has it right. We almost never see anything like that here as it's usually clear in the morning, but sometimes on a summer night we'll see thunderclouds to our east and get a similar phenomenon.
ReplyDeleteHi Al, it was very neat to look at, especially when you are looking into the dark west and see a bright light.
DeleteThe rising sun reflecting off those clouds is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful morning.
DeleteNo matter, it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. I think the blue of the sky is a really gorgeous shade.
