I See the Moon...

When my children were small they had a prayer that we said at our dinner table...

I see the moon
And the moon sees me.
God bless the moon
And God bless me.

Caramel Corn (Redneck Style)

I haven't put on any new recipes in a while and I thought I would share one that my family loves.  It is easy because it is made in the microwave and a paper bag.  I have only posted a picture here, but go to my "cooking" tab and scroll down...trust me it's there, it's just at the bottom.  Add some kind of nut to it and it will be yummier......my family (daughter) didn't want me to add any and we all know how spoiled our kids are...
Enjoy

The Sparks Flew When....

 Here is Brother-in-Law Rick again.
 Doing what he does best.
He probably wouldn't agree with me on that,
if you were to ask him he would probably list a lot of things he does well.
We love to harass each other ...it's what we do best.
He told me that he has had a spark fall in his ear before and then spit it out his mouth....
talk about hurting, but it does explain a lot about Rick.....crazy.
This is the newest addition to the loft.  Any guesses what they are making?
This iron is heavy.  Have no doubt they are straining here.
They can't hold it up without the chain and a winch in the middle.
Not witch....they didn't want my help.
They thought they might be able to lift it up until they tried.
Where is the Incredible Hulk when you need him?
It was about at this point I was afraid they were going to ask me (witch) for help.
They would have laughed at that last comment....
Not a chance would they ever need me to help....not that desperate.
They are building stairs for the loft.....well part of them,
do we really need steps?

A Bridge over Troubled Water...

I was on my way to town and this beauty ran in front of me,
I hit my brakes and pulled over.  The car behind me had no idea why I was pulling over,
I was just hoping I could find him after he ran back in the brush.

Not the best photo here, but when I looked over the bridge I saw him walking.
I was thrilled and probably a little shaky.
He was as scared as me, trying to find Momma I'm sure.

Then he saw me looking down at him....it was love at first sight.
Well for me it was.

He came out of the water and I lost him again for a minute.....
I waited and when I looked up....

I got my last glimpse of him.
Such a cutie.....I just love when this happens, it truly makes my day.

Thanks God for letting me see the beauty you have made.

Thanks also for visiting my Dear part of the country,

"They act like they have never seen a cow skinny dipping' before."
"Look at them now they are taking pictures of us"
"Well I don't know about you, but I'm looking' good,
I've been working' out"
"Well you might look good,

I bet my fellow bloggers didn't know I knew how to speak cow.

Am I Blue?

I think all of the Caribbean is beautiful, but this particular day (we were in St. Maarten)
 the water was amazing.
We took a "taxi" from the ship across the bay.
The water was clear, smooth and so many shades of blue.  I truly love it here.
Before my first trip to the Caribbean, I had someone describe how beautiful it was,
but it is something that must be seen to be fully appreciated.

I should be a spokesperson for their tourism, I would go on and on.

Thanks for visiting this beautiful part of the country,

Canadian Family...

All families are really all the same.......it doesn't really matter if they are birds or people.
When they got ready to leave Mom and the kids had a different plan than Dad did.
Mom and the kids went left, I'm guessing there was more shopping and playing to do.
Do you see 2 of the babies turning their heads, that is because Dad went right and is
 HONKING over and over,
apparently he has had enough shopping for one day and is ready to go home.
"OK kids, turn around and lets go with Dad , he's ready to go home"
"Hurry, he says he will leave us"
 "We're coming, we're coming!!"
 "What is the big hurry?"
"I'm ready to go home, I had a hard day at work"
"I'm hungry Mom, what's for dinner?"
"MOM, HE TOUCHED ME"
"I know some kids that are going to eat and go straight to bed"
"But Mom.....We're not tired"
"Are we there yet?"

You see all families really are the same.
