Not all Pretty...to Me

Not sure who did the eye makeup here, but it looks a little puffy under the eyes.
I love the lower part of this one, but the head is not so pretty to me.
Thanks for posing for me.

What a Beauty

I had been seeing a large bird out my window at night, or at least I thought that is what I was seeing.
Look at that beak....I'm guessing he would like my smallest dog for a snack.
I don't know birds, if anyone does, help me...I just know I think he is puurrrrrty.
He was just perched up on my bird house, he would have never fit in the holes,
he would have needed the entire house.

Labor Day Parade

Here is a Labor Day Parade in a small town.  (Yes, I know I'm late)
 Complete with clowns, firetrucks.....

and best of all small children.

Randy can not wait until he is a Grandpa,
but until then he will drool over any kid he can get his hands on.
 We've got motorcycles,
 and old pickups
 in several colors.
 Cars.....
 bikes.....
 all sorts of transportation,
and two of my favorite people.

New Baby

I took these pictures back in the spring when we got a new baby.
Mama is giving him his first bath.
The only reason I was able to get this close was he was born in our corral,
I am making mama nervous, you can see her watching me.
All shiny and clean, he hasn't even stood up yet.
He was still a little shaky just holding his head up.

Warts

I didn't know that calves had warts, but that is what my husband says these are?

Who knew?  I will say he is easy to spot and a face only a Mom could love.

A New Baby

Maybe it's just me, but I think this baby is so shiny and a bit shy, hiding by Mama.
I love the baby calves, somehow when they grow up they are just not as cute..
sorry Momma, the truth hurts.

A Bridge over Troubled Water...

I was on my way to town and this beauty ran in front of me,
I hit my brakes and pulled over.  The car behind me had no idea why I was pulling over,
I was just hoping I could find him after he ran back in the brush.

Not the best photo here, but when I looked over the bridge I saw him walking.
I was thrilled and probably a little shaky.
He was as scared as me, trying to find Momma I'm sure.

Then he saw me looking down at him....it was love at first sight.
Well for me it was.

He came out of the water and I lost him again for a minute.....
I waited and when I looked up....

I got my last glimpse of him.
Such a cutie.....I just love when this happens, it truly makes my day.

Thanks God for letting me see the beauty you have made.

"Look at them now they are taking pictures of us"
"Well I don't know about you, but I'm looking' good,

"Well you might look good,

Canadian Family...

All families are really all the same.......it doesn't really matter if they are birds or people.
When they got ready to leave Mom and the kids had a different plan than Dad did.
Mom and the kids went left, I'm guessing there was more shopping and playing to do.
Do you see 2 of the babies turning their heads, that is because Dad went right and is
 HONKING over and over,
apparently he has had enough shopping for one day and is ready to go home.
"OK kids, turn around and lets go with Dad , he's ready to go home"
"Hurry, he says he will leave us"
 "We're coming, we're coming!!"
 "What is the big hurry?"
"I'm ready to go home, I had a hard day at work"
"I'm hungry Mom, what's for dinner?"
"MOM, HE TOUCHED ME"
"I know some kids that are going to eat and go straight to bed"
"But Mom.....We're not tired"
"Are we there yet?"

You see all families really are the same.

Stampede of Sorts...

My husband is wanting to sell A cow...only one....
unfortunately that one cow will not just come and get in the trailer.
Our cows mind about as well as our kids did when they were little.
Instead he has to call ALL the cows in.
They come running because they think it is eaten' time.
After he gets them all in the corral, he then has to let all (except for the one he is wanting) out.
It can sometimes be a bit tricky, as they ALL want to leave
When he is ready to load the one, then he calls for the trailer.  The cows get more "uptight" when they see anything out of the ordinary going on and so they don't want the
trailer to show up until they are ready to load.
She loaded up fast and they were surprised, she's a WILD one and that is part of the reason they wanted to sell her.  She has chased the guys on more than one occasion....kind of has a bad attitude,
you don't want to do that around here or they will sell you.....just so ya know.

Scissor-tailed Flycatchers
Here are the babies when I first found them and then......

 just 5 days later.
There are 5 of these little ones crammed into one nest, I have no idea where there Mom fits.
