Random thoughts and ideas from a country girl at heart!!
i love scissor-tails. they have such a happy tune, too. bubbly and springy. :)
I think they have a pretty and soft color too.
I donlt have too much luck with birds, nice capture of the scissor tail !
Thanks it was hard to catch him, he was not wanting his photo taken too bad.
They are impressive when they fly--the OK state bird--I believe. :)
yes it is the Ok state bird...you are right
She is very pretty, and what an incredibly long tail! I love her colours. It is interesting seeing birds we don't get over here.
I know what you mean that is why that is one reason blogs are fun, seeing new things
It really is one of many advantages and pleasures to our blogger world - being able to see first hand photos of things in general and in this instance this amazing bird that I've not only never seen but never heard of. Wonderful! :)
It is a great part of blogging, things that to us is "ordinary" to other people they have never seen before. The same thing goes for me when people in far far away places put things on their blog. I love that part of blogging too.
She is pretty, and brave to sit on top of a barbed-wire fence. Nice captures!
Hi Al, yes I too thought about her sitting on that type of fence, I guess very very careful. =)
Good one, I'm sure it took long time for this shot...You got excellent page, first time visiting here. Following your page now :)
Thanks for the visit I always like getting to know a fellow blogger.
Great shot, I have tried my hand at birds and that cardinal is the only one I have had success at.
It took me several times to get this one. I am not the best at it either, not enough patience I guess.
Jana, this is a beautiful bird and my congrats to you for capturing her in your photos! We have many birds in our yard and even have migratory birds that fly into our area after a trip across the Gulf of Mexico. I have only seen photos of your bird in books - love this shot!Bises,Genie
Thanks for the visit and comments. Birds are hard for me to get a picture of and either we don't have very many varieties or I'm not good at seeing them. I have tried to get several different ones, but not too good of luck.
What a beautiful bird! I have never seen one of these before.
They are common around our house, but not so easy to get a shot of, at least not for me....thanks for the visit
