Photography Homework

I got a new toy for my anniversary, a Sony camera.
It has 18 megapixels, 30 digital zoom and lots and lots of fun features.
I thought this picture looked like he was balancing on a wire.
It will take 10 shots per second, that's like a movie mode to me.
To help me learn more on photography, which I love I took another photo class and one of our assignments was to take pictures in motion and "freeze" them.
It is hard for me to believe these were moving in full motion.
As luck would have it there was a bike show this day right outside of our class.
I have never been very good at moving photos and I was thrilled when I saw how clear these were.
His back tire looks like it is on the building.

We also had the greatest teacher, she knows here cameras and was extremely patient with our class.
I had a great time and learned a lot about my new toy, now I just need to remember it all and get out there and play with it.
Why couldn't homework in school have been this fun, I might have done it all if it was.

Thanks for visiting my moving part of the country,
Jana

    1. I wouldn't mind the drive if I knew it was worth it, a good teacher. I have had some classes that were better than others.

    1. PS I've had to come back because I had this sudden and terrible thought prompted by a comment that one of my commentors made this morning - and that is, you asked me AGES ago for my address and I don't believe I ever sent it (because) I do not have your email in my address emails! So if you email me (it's on my profile page) then I can email you back. :))))

    2. Hi Rose, I will get your email an be in contact for your address, and yes I cook in bulk so I have time to play. I thought of you when I got yet another camera and I LOVE this one as well. It is a little bigger, but the zoom is great and I didn't want to change lenses....lazy.

    1. I am petrified of heights, so if I did get a bike you can bet I would't be up in the air like them, not that I could, not even in my dreams. LOL, and yes I agree it is addicting, I love it.

  8. You did a great job with your new toy! I have never taken a photography class, but probably should. In 2004, I bought my first Canon Rebel, studied the manual, and the rest is history. I now use a Canon 40D, but I'm thinking about upgrading soon.
