I want this ol' pickup. It has personality....and weeds.....and rust....
and possibly a few animals living in it.
I think it would make a great yard ornament for me.
I know lots of people want a beautiful waterfall or a statue......
not me, I want a rusted pickup.
I suddenly feel like I'm on the Waltons
(some may not know what that is...a TV show that took place during the depression)
Thanks for visiting my part of the rusty country,
Oh boy, do I know who the Waltons are! I went through high school known as John-Boy, thanks to my maiden name!ReplyDelete
I think it is a lovely pickup. We used to visit my grandmother's friends each year, they had a farm and there were various vehicles dotted around, rusting away. My brother and I used to love to see the difference another year made to them!
Glad to know I am not the only ones who know the Waltons, I have watched them for years. I would love to get this pickup, but not sure it is possible.Delete
would make great yard art. :)ReplyDelete
I agree, my kind of ornament.Delete
Yup - I like your shots of that old pickup. They have so much personality!ReplyDelete
Thanks and yes they do have personality=)Delete
Randy should def tow this masterpiece to your yard and then, you do a Part 1,2,3 on its transformation into a work of art, you've shown us all sorts of tantalising things 'inside' but me-thinks something 'outside' is called for ;)ReplyDelete
And WHO doesnt' know the WALTONS - "Goodnight John-boy" :)))))
and, I love the sepia shot!
I asked him today if it was possible to get this pickup....NO. It's not on our land and the owners won't part with it...What a shame, so it will just sit and rot, I hate that.Delete
Can you name all the Waltons without cheating???Delete
Aw, that is a shame that they won't part with it!! Er, no I can't name the whole Waltons family :( and they don't do re-runs of the Waltons here! Bye, I'm off to google the Waltons cast members.......Delete
John Boy, Mary Ellen, Jason, Elizabeth, Grandma Esther, Grandpa Zeb, Jim Bob, John, Olivia, Erin, I give up I am missing one of the boys...I can see him but can not get think of his name.Delete
Ben, it bugged me =)Delete
I love the Sepia shot! I learned to drive a stick in an old green pickup that looked about like that one.ReplyDelete
I learned in a stick shift as well, but mine was a small car, now no one can drive one.Delete
Could we share this pick up?! lolReplyDelete
Hi Michelle, I would share, but I can't get it.....They won't share it.Delete
I would like that too!ReplyDelete
That looks even older than your pickup :) Nice photos, you really caught the scene's atmosphere.ReplyDelete
Thanks Al....We do like our old trucks around here.Delete
I think this pickup would look great in your garage. I'm trying to think of a good label for it :-)ReplyDelete
